Make it Bespoke

Five women-owned companies in the business of "just for you"

In partnership with

Hello friend,

If you’ve ever had something custom made, you understand the value of bespoke. To have something crafted to your specifications by an expert with the skill and knowledge to bring your vision to life may be a luxury, but the final product is usually enduring. Something to covet for a lifetime because it is personal to you, not off the shelf, for the masses.

In this week’s newsletter, we explore “just for you” products and services delivered by amazing women who are in the business of custom solutions. Meet the leather atelier who wants your jacket to be as unique as you are; the cosmetics mix master who formulates make-up just for you, on the spot; the cookie doyenne who won a Food Network challenge for her custom sugar cookies; the art curator who is stimulating an appreciation for women-made art; and the by women, for women virtual mental health clinic that customizes action plans for every chapter in our lives.

Real estate agent extraordinaire, Judy Fortune is the sponsor of this week’s newsletter. Learn more about her below and why her custom approach to selling her clients’ homes makes her an ideal choice for an agent.

Enjoy!

A made-for-you leather jacket with limitless possibilities.

Custom cookies that look too good to eat, but one bite will have you craving more.

Commissioned art from a digital gallery featuring only women artists; and for good reason.

Finally, a custom health care plan to manage the change from women who understand.

Watch this space for five quick things to make your life a little richer.

We love how Sue Giers breaks all the rules! At 55 she is not concerned about “dressing appropriately” for her age, and nor should she! She is an inspiration and her style is creative, sexy and fun!

We’re heading into Christmas movie season and one of Tonia’s favourites is The Family Stone, filled with stellar female actors like Diane Keaton, Claire Danes, Sarah Jessica Parker and Rachel McAdams.

We love the pretty prints from graphic artist Bea Müeller , as do Sephora and The Guardian, who have used her work in their ads. Luckily, she sells her whimsical artwork online for the whole world to enjoy!

As a wrap-up to Breast Cancer Awareness month we thought we’d share this simple video on how to do a self examination. Please do it. Breast Self Examination

With the weather getting a little colder, we’re craving warm and hearty soups to make the most of the vegetables of the season. We turned to @eatinghealthygram for inspiration and found a “glowing skin” soup we can’t wait to try!
