Meet Bluboho Founder Maggie Aurocco

And get her brand recos in fashion, wellness, art and food

Hello friend,

At Genuinely Stellar we are always on the lookout for exceptional woman-owned brands. Each week we curate products and share brand stories with you to enlighten, entertain and encourage you to support the women behind the website, the storefront or the studio. This week, we are taking a slightly different approach. We asked a successful Toronto entrepreneur and tastemaker to share her favourite woman-owned brands, and we’re so glad we did!

Maggie Aurocco is the Founder of bluboho. If you don’t know it already, it’s a fine jewellery brand that marries storytelling with commemorating life’s big moments. Our first story is an interview with Maggie about how she built her brand; how she overcame challenges; how she balances family and work life; and the future of bluboho. If we didn’t love bluboho before our conversation, we are obsessed having connected with Maggie! She is smart, caring and passionate, with effortless style that permeates her brand and her life. The perfect woman to share with you her recommendations in fashion, art, wellness and food.

Maggie’s fashion pick is a chic Canadian outerwear brand you need to know; her culture picks are two artists that will bring contemporary warmth to your home; her food pick is a stop in the country next time you’re in Prince Edward County; and her wellness pick is one we’ve featured in the past, but definitely worth another look.

Thank you to Hubspot for sponsorting this week’s newsletter. And welcome if you’re new here! We hope you enjoy our stories. Let us know what you think in the poll below.

Happy Sunday!

Maggie Aurocco equates jewellery making to storytelling. In 15 years in business, she’s told many tales of love, loss, success, and celebration through her brand’s signature, refined, sustainable fine jewellery. Hearing her story made us love her brand even more than we did before.

This Canadian woman-owned outerwear brand is new to us but a favourite of Maggie’s. It’s her go-to for getting outside in style when the weather gets cold. It’s such a good find, it has us looking forward to cooler temps!

When we asked Maggie to share her favourite artist, she shared two: Anna Church (who happens to be one of our favourites too) and the artist who melds mix media and photography like she did in this piece capturing a scene in Tobermory, Ontario. Intrigued yet?

When Maggie chose a farmstand as her favourite woman-owned food business, we leaned in (who doesn’t love a quaint country farmstand)?? When we spoke with the woman farmer behind it, we got a tip that might just lead to a vegetable garden next spring!

Maggie chose this woman-owned brand for its intense, heart opening workouts. Did we mention that classes take place in near darkness?
