Nuts and Bolts

How-tos and origin stories from women-owned brands

In partnership with

Hello friend,

I’ve had many great conversations with women who run very different types of businesses in the last week or so. Each one spawned little nuggets of wisdom for anyone considering entrepreneurship. The nuts and bolts of how these businesses came to life are also fundamental reasons to love each brand.

This week in the newsletter, we share two feature interviews: one with a superfood and coffee bar founder who is surrounded by successful entrepreneurs in her life, and one with a cosmetics founder who has built a community in need of makeup solutions for problem skin. We also feature a chocolatier who makes bonbons almost too pretty to eat, and a jewellery founder who is inspired by the art and architecture of her homeland.

Thank you to Belay for sponsoring this week’s newsletter. We appreciate the support! Now pour yourself a coffee and take five minutes for yourself to learn about some inspiring women and the products we want you to know about.

Enjoy!

Nourishing goodness. Everything on the menu at the coffee bar started by this woman is made with the healthiest of healthy ingredients. Meet her and find out why she made bringing superfoods to the masses her mission.

Most great brands set out to solve a problem. For Melanie Cruickshank, the self-proclaimed glamour girl since birth, the problem was cosmetics that gave her acne. Eighteen years ago, she set out to solve it, and she’s never looked back.

Too pretty to eat? These little works of art are as delicious as they are beautiful. When you learn about the pedigree of the founder and the flavour combinations she creates, you will definitely want to eat them.

Elegant, sophisticated, and influenced by the art and architecture of Europe. Meet the woman entrepreneur who is bringing the shapes and patterns of historical sites from cities around the world to her line of jewellery.

Your Partner in Delegation

You’ve done it all. Built your business, clawed your way into the green, pulled every lever you could pull. And you did it all by digging in.

It’s the tipping point: delegate to elevate — or stay stuck.
