Celebrating Mother's Day with Mother and Daughter Founders
Hello friend,
Happy Mother’s Day! Whether you are celebrating your mom or being celebrated, today is a time for gratitude for the women in our lives who shaped us. In this issue of the newsletter, we honour mothers and daughters who have come together in business and it’s clear that their bond is a force for good.
We feature a jewellery brand spawned from need after a cancer diagnoses threw a wrench into the life plan of one family; a ski accident prompted a wellness pioneering mother-daughter duo to explore the world of functional fitness; a soul searching expedition to South America led to a desire to make the world healthier and cleaner for a beauty founder and her daughters; we feature an Indo-Canadian mother who developed a quick way to create time consuming traditional Indian fare; and we recommend a book for those of you navigating the tweens with your daughter.
This week we hosted an event in partnership with SOCCO Living at their beautiful store on Queen Street in Toronto. We showcased five exceptional woman-owned brands including Amanda Maria contemporary fashion, Jenny Greco jewellery, Jaded Vine dried flower creations, da lish cosmetics and Paume, skin care for your hands. Thanks to all of you who joined us! Our mission is to encourage people to consider shopping woman-owned because in doing so they get quality products, ethical business practices, covetable branding and the mutual empowerment that comes with supporting other women! We have more events planned in the future. We hope you will join us!
Enjoy!

We all love Indian food. If you’ve ever made it from scratch, you know the process can be long and complicated. This Indo-Canadian mother and her daughters make it easy with their line of Indian spice blends.
