As sports fans and women who grew up playing competitive sports, we are brimming with pride at the advances women have made in sport. Professional women’s leagues in soccer, hockey and basketball were unheard of when we were young. Today, young girls have so many role models in sport who demonstrate how discipline, hard work and team spirit can manifest success. 

This week in the newsletter, we focus on products brought to market by women who were influenced by sports. Volleyball, figure skating, triathalon, skiing, soccer and dance are all precursors to businesses that are thriving with competitive drive. Talk about a win-win!

It’s the brainchild of Kristin Juszczyk (wife of San Francisco 49ers fullback Kyle Juszczyk) and serial fashion entrepreneur Emma Grede. Kristin made a name for herself when she started dressing wives of players in her stylish football inspired designs. Partnering with Grede (who works behind the scenes on the Kardashians’ lines) is sure to take her stylish puffers and vests to the next level. Go team!
