Trends to Embrace in 2026

Find comfort in an uncomfortable world with woman-owned brands

In partnership with

Hello friend,

I think it’s fun to dive into the prognostications about trends for the year ahead. What is the fashion world saying about what we should wear? What foods will people gravitate to this year? How are we taking care of our bodies? How will we decorate our homes? I spent some time poring over countless 2026 trend reports and have pulled out the ones that resonated most with me. I hope they speak to you as well.

If there is a throughline in trends that will shape fashion, beauty, wellness, food and home decor this year, it’s comfort. It’s not surprising, perhaps, given the state of the world around us. It seems we are searching for warmth, inner peace and nostalgia anywhere we can find it. Each of these woman-owned brands exemplifies our longing for solace.

It seems fitting that our sponsor this week is 1440. They specialize in unbiased news and storytelling. Another source of comfort in an often confusing media landscape. Thank you for your support.

Enjoy!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve started to really focus on the ingredients in my skin care products. I look for natural elements that are proven to address the specific needs of my skin. Ingredient-first skin care is a trend for 2026 and one of the brands that comes to mind for me when thinking about efficacious ingredients is Skin Frequency. Each product is made with a handful of highly potent ingredients to protect and nourish the skin.

Comfort food is on the menu for 2026, but with a twist. The nostalgia of favourites like mac and cheese, butter chicken and smash burgers are being reimagined with a healthy spin. This is where Good Food For Good comes in. It’s heat- and-serve sauces are sweetened with dates and packed with healthy ingredients, making mealtime a snap. Imagine butter chicken, tika masala or coconut curry for dinner. It will be ready in minutes but taste like you spent all day making it.

2026 may be the year you take your wellness goals on the road. Travel fitness is the trend that we’ve all been waiting for. Imagine a girls getaway where yoga and skiing are the main events, and your accommodations are a luxury chalet in Chamonix, France. Every meal is a culinary experience and your company is other women with goals aligned to yours. Ready to book your ticket?

Whether your style is traditional or contemporary, there is something comforting about vintage decor. Adding a piece or two to a space brings warmth and interest. Artist Christine Flynn offers a treasure trove of vintage finds at her tiny shop in Picton, Ontario. Book a private appointment or plan a trip for the Valentines Day weekend (the shop is closed until then) and find a treasure to add some nostalgia to your home.
