Beyond the Comfort Zone
Women entrepreneurs stretching themselves to achieve their goals
Hello friend,
Have you ever taken a leap of faith? This week I had the honour of speaking with a group of women entrepreneurs who are forging new paths and opening their minds to new possibilities. It was incredibly inspiring to be in their midst. Thank you Aynur Jahan for bringing us together!
As I put the finishing touches on this week’s newsletter, it occurred to me that the women entrepreneurs featured this week did something to push themselves out of a comfort zone to create something new. In each case, they’ve found early success. I also revisit two brands with new innovative products you need to know about.
This week’s issue of Genuinely Stellar is sponsored by SuppCo. As always, I’m eternally grateful for the support. I hope you enjoy today’s stories. Let me know what you think by responding to the poll towards the end.
Enjoy!

The great thing about entrepreneurship is there is no age limit to get started. Tatijana Milinkov is approaching 50 and her life experience proliferates the creative expression in her line of fine jewellery. Check out the bold messages in her talismans that are resonating near and far.

This is just a snippet from Oriana Weeks-Bowering’s cohesively ecclectic homewares store. She had no idea how to launch a business when she started, but her vision of owning her own shop was so strong, it came together quickly, as did her customer base.

Nathalie Smith is a two-time entrepreneur. The first time around, she had no experience in the sector she conquered. The second time around, she had experience launching a business, but none when it came to food & beverage. Learn how her superfood coffeehouse became profitable in year one.

You may remember our feature on Skwalwen, the Indigenous-owned skin care line created by ethnobotanist, Dr Leigh Joseph of the Squamish First Nation. Hot off the press, she has just launched a tinted mineral sunscreen to add to her line of plant-based products.

One of our first features was Arrae, the wife and husband team who have created a lifestyle brand focussed on vitamins and supplements. When my son’s girlfriend brought me a packet of the brand’s Clear Protein, I had to share it with you. Tastes great and an easy way to boost your protein intake.

The first line in this story is, “when I was 16, my classmates started getting cosmetic surgery.” WHAT?? You can see why this article got my attention. Read why the Gen Z author is saying no to Botox.

I don’t drink enough water. I just discovered a reason to get my 6-8 glasses a day in. It’s something that I’ve never heard before, but makes a whole lot of sense.

Your supplements need a system too.
People who are serious about their health already know: keeping up with your supplements can get complicated.
And you're probably tracking it all in a notes app. Or a spreadsheet. Or just trying to remember.
SuppCo is changing all that. Their dedicated app lets you digitize your cabinet, get expiration reminders, and catch nutrient overlaps you didn't know existed.
Plus, their StackScore calculates the quality and balance of your routine to help you make optimizations.
Your workouts have a system. Your diet has a plan. Your supplements should too. Get your StackScore from SuppCo and see where your stack stands.
